Margaret Palmer, Ph.D.
Margaret Palmer, Ph.D. practices organizational psychology with expertise in the assessment of organizational systems and relationships, the development and facilitation of reconstructive interventions, and the implementation of healthy work practices.
Dr. Palmer is the president of Healthcare Management Consulting Group, a consulting firm specializing in issues of impairment to growth impacting healthcare systems, agencies, associations, medical staffs, and medical practices. Dr. Palmer is also the president of DocExecutive, support and development services for physicians, physician practices, physician and healthcare executives. Maggie has spent the last 20+ years deeply involved with counseling, coaching, and providing healthy organizational and behavioral alternatives for healthcare providers.
Dr. Palmer holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology. She practices with special emphases on leadership/management development, conflict resolution, group facilitation, physician-hospital integration. Stress related behaviors, including physician burnout and disruptive behavior have become issues receiving widespread attention. Additionally, interpersonal relationships, defining and developing leadership and management styles, and creating models of leadership are, generally, areas to which Dr. Palmer’s work is focused.
Erin Pelletier, RN, MHAS
Erin Pelletier, RN, MHAS, specializes in the enrichment, empowerment, and wellbeing of nurse providers at all levels of practice. She brings a wealth of creativity and understanding to her work through her tremendous healing energy. Throughout 15 years+ in healthcare environments, Erin has built a diverse background, which includes experience in bedside nursing, education, strategic planning, and facilitation. With insight, joy, and humor, she offers participant-focused work that invites wellbeing and provides sustainable strategies for maintaining optimal health.
Erin utilizes her Masters of Health Arts and Science to develop supportive and healing content that is customized to each person, group, or organization with which she consults. Her goal is to provide progressive, powerful, practical approaches to creating resilience and restoration that really work.
Erin joins our Team at DocExecutive as our nursing specialist. She is prepared to offer consultations, workshops, and individual coaching.
John M. O'Brien, Ph.D.
Dr. John M. O’Brien, Senior Consultant, received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University in 1996. He currently maintains a private practice in Portland, Maine, focused on coaching, consulting, assessment, training and psychotherapy. Additionally, he is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine at Augusta, teaching courses in psychology and addictions.
John received specialized training in coaching and has focused his studies on the needs of executives, physicians and attorneys. He has presented to various Bar Associations and medical staffs throughout New England on stress, balanced living and dealing with disruptive behaviors. John understands the numerous pressures that busy professionals face and he has successfully coached them to make changes needed to improve their career and personal life. He enjoys working with groups and individuals to improve emotional intelligence and increase their use of mindfulness.
